DC Mobile Welding was established in November 2017 as a sister company to BlackHawk Works. BlackHawk Works found a need to have mobile welding capabilities because of the wear and tear on their equipment. The idea expanded to offer those same resources for other companies.
Derek Broderick, a retired military veteran, is the current owner of BlackHawk Works and DC Mobile Welding. Derek hired Chris Norman as his lead welder and fabricator. Chris has over 16 years of experience in metal work and welding.
Chris has two AWS welding certifications (SMAW-any thickness and FCAW-any thickness) and holds his D1.1-D1.5 (structural and bridge) certifications. He has completed his certificate with the Alaska Vocational Technical Center for welding technology. Chris also holds numerous certifications including aerial lift operation, steel erection, OSHA safety, as well as that of a qualified rigger and many other work-related courses.
